420 Bensoul

Overview

In Early 2024, we were commissioned by SUDAH NATION : Bensoul’s newly launched creative company following his departure from Sol Generation to develop a series of immersive 3D animated visuals as part of the promotional rollout for his upcoming album The Afterparty.

For this specific project, our task was to create a mixed-media promotional video tailored for his 420 Show, scheduled for April 20th, 2025, at MassHouse Nairobi.

The goal was to craft an engaging visual piece that captured the energy of the event while aligning with Bensoul’s evolving artistic vision.

Challenges & Approach

One of the key challenges in this project was seamlessly motion tracking Bensoul’s 3D animated avatar and other CGI elements to align perfectly with drone footage of Nairobi’s skyline — particularly around the iconic KICC.

Our team had to carefully match camera movements and lighting to ensure the virtual and real-world elements blended cohesively, delivering a visually striking experience that felt both grounded and futuristic.

The result

The final video combined striking 3D visuals of Bensoul’s animated avatar with a sweeping drone shot of Nairobi’s skyline, all set to a dynamic soundtrack that matched the energy of the 420 Show
